Story
The story of Bakugan: Battle Brawlers revolves around a set of metallic cards that mysteriously fall from space. One group of these kids, who name themselves the "Bakugan Battle Brawlers" and who are led by Dan, find that the cards also serve as a link to a parallel dimension known as Vestroia. Here they discover that the game and its monsters that they are dedicated to mastering is tied to an imbalance of positive and negative energy in Vestroia. This imbalance must be corrected to avoid unspeakable consequences for Vestroia, and since a link has been made to the Earth, eventually the kids' home as well.

Gameplay
Those who have played the popular Bakugan card game might already have an idea of how gameplay works in Bakugan: Battle Brawlers, but the video game adds several new elements. The game is something of a cross between marbles and a live action card game. To get started you'll first need to enter your name, select an attribute and create your character. Then you'll be ready to explore the world of Bakugan. If you can't wait to start battling your friends, then head straight to the Battle Arena, but if you want to be the best you have to learn the rules. The goal of Bakugan: Battle Brawlers is to win the game by collecting three "gate cards." Gate cards are collected by winning battles against opponents. As a starting move each player sets down one metallic gate card. Then you're ready to roll your Bakugan, which is in the form of a ball. After throwing you can steer your Bakugan around the environment so that it lands on the perfect card and collects powerups. The aim is to get your Bakugan to stand on a card, and that happens when they roll over it slowly. Once the Bakugan stands, it will transform into Battle Mode. Now you're ready to battle. A battle begins when two Bakugan from different players stand on the same gate card. The gate card then opens and both bakugan transform into Monster Mode, and are ready to fight. The gate card can add "G-Power" to a Bakugan according to its world attribute (color) and can also change the rules of the battle. Players can also boost their G-power by doing well in battle. The Bakugan with the highest G-power at the end of the battle wins.

After battling, you can also use the points you have won to upgrade your Bakugan, acquire new in-game items, engage in Tag Team or Battle Royale action, or hone your skills by practicing your moves and strategy with Dan.

The Wheelhouse
One of the new features of The Bigs 2 is the 'Wheelhouse,' an area in every batter's swing where their offensive threat is at its greatest. Color-coated and pulsating for both the batter and pitcher to see, balls struck well within this area are most likely to result in a hit, but there are no guarantees. Although it is a dangerous place for pitchers to throw, the Wheelhouse is also a tempting spot for pitchers to challenge hitters since not only do strikes result in the shrinking of a player's wheelhouse, but strikes and strikeouts centered there will earn the defensive team turbo points that can be used elsewhere in the game.

Legendary Rated Players
The Bigs 2 features a special Legendary Rating system for players as they develop. On defense a high rating means a player will be able to get to balls other players can't, which will make them very valuable against high-powered offensive team. In addition, players with high status are capable of spectacular plays, like jumping into the stands to rob a batter of a home-run, pulling down come-backers off the bat of opponents, etc. When these plays are made players will gain access to play specific mini-games as a reward, that are designed to be fun and further hone their skills in these specific areas. Along with the two mentioned above, players can also expect to see mini-games available to legendary rated players such as handling line drives up the middle, diving plays in both the infield and outfield and foul balls pulled from the hands of fans.

Legendary status is not limited to defensive fielding positions though. Pitchers can possess a legendary skill rating that allows them the possibility of domination on the mound. Batter's legendary ranking can also be utilized both by the power and skill they bring as they step up to the plate, as well as in some cases an ability to increase the potency of their teammates skill in the batters box. An example of this is an enlarged wheelhouse for the batter that follows a player with a high legendary ranking or even the entire lineup. In these cases the value and strategy of having legendary players available for insertion into the roster is obvious.

The Big Slam
Similar to functionality in the first game in the series that allowed players who had accumulated enough turbo points a strikeout or home run when they wanted/needed it, The Bigs 2 brings the 'Big Slam' to the field. In this case offensive players who have enough turbo points can opt to take on a series of pitches in an attempt at a simplified grand slam. The rub is that there are only four pitches involved one for each batter in the series. All it takes to get your man on base is to make contact. Once the bases are full a grand slam is automatic.

Game Modes
The Bigs 2 comes with a wide variety of modes, some familiar to players and others new. The first of these is the story based 'Become a Legend' mode. This career mode picks up where the 'Rookie Challenge' from the previous game left off and has players creating a player, who comes up through the Minor leagues, the Majors and eventually into hall of fame. Along the way he will be challenged in a variety of boss battles against major league greats from all eras. In addition The Bigs 2 features a 'Season Mode' where players play through an entire 162 game season, as players and general manager, improving your team and making trades along the way. The game also contains a new version of the 'Home Run Pinball' mode, set in modern Times Square, Times Square retro, Tokyo and Las Vegas; mini-games similar to those in the 'Become a Legend' mode; and the 'Pick-up Game' mode where players can play a fast game against a real or AI opponent.

An action platformer spread over 22 levels, Scooby-Doo! First Frights challenges the player to utilize the unique strengths, abilities, weapons, and other items of each member of Mystery, Inc. through a series of adventures and puzzle-solving scenarios. The game features game modes such as Storyline and Freeplay, as well as single player and drop in/out two-person co-op play options. The co-op option is an important feature due to each character's unique skill set which can be utilized better depending on who they are paired with. In addition, this functionality allows more experienced players, like parents or an older child, to share the adventure with younger or less experienced players, with each taking the lead as they wish. Along with these features the game also contains additional features such as charged attacks, voice talent from the "Scooby-Doo! Consistent, fully realized game design elevates Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny into an elite category. Where other games are weak in one or more key areas, this game provides ample plot, character, action, and visual fodder in equal amounts. Unlike so many other titles--where preview and promotion photos feature quick cinematics and the rest of the game seems made in the early 1990s--Onimushadoesn't disappoint and stays consistently rich throughout.

Right away, players will notice the fine details this game offers. Any character you approach, even an inconspicuous mine worker, will stop to chat with you. But your comrades in arms won't accept just any offering in exchange for assisting you: in a nod to the Japanese tradition of thoughtful gift-giving, you must find and offer items that fit their interests. Don't go offering an antique brooch to someone looking for imported "spirits." Unless you have vodka or wine to offer him, he will get downright sullen.

As for the gore rating for Onimusha, it depends on your previous game-playing history. It will be considered mild by FPS fans, since the enemies and their flying body parts emit "only" a small amount of blood before disappearing in a puff of dust. For those same serious gamers, the controls will be a nuisance--for instance, you use the direction buttons instead of the left analog for running around. Another drawback: as with most highly controlled game environments, the forced perspective can cause columns and building sections to get in your way during crucial fight scenes. But those comfortable with these minor faults will be amply rewarded by movie-style quick scene edits, inventive ideas from the last edition (in particular, chests guarded by puzzles), and that addictive "fight, collect things, fight, upgrade to really cool things" dynamic that makes so many games great. --Jennifer Hauseman

The Story
In the year 2075, the Earth Defense Force (EDF) received a distress signal from a small mining facility on the surface of Mars. A group of rebels calling themselves the Red Faction had overthrown the ruthless Ultor Corporation after years of oppression. The EDF responded by launching a fleet of warships to Mars to aid the miners, bring Ultor to justice and restore order to the Martian colonies. In order to ensure safety and security for the newly liberated colonists, the EDF set up command posts and bases across the planet. Initially, under the EDF's rule, the people of Mars prospered: colonists established homesteads, built towns and independent mining operations and began to stake and work their mining claims. But the more things change on Mars, the more they stay the same.

The troubles began with colonists being driven from their homes and mining claims by greedy, Earth-based corporations. Then came a 50 year turn of events that saw the EDF adopting the heavy-handed tactics that it once stood against. Yet in doing so it also instilled a deep-seated resentment among the miners and settlers of the Martian colonies. One of these new Martians is miner Alec Mason, whose dream of a new life carved out of the course Martian soil was crushed in the face of EDF-ordered curfews, detention centers, beatings, mass arrests and personal tragedy. But as powerful as the EDF is, there is resistance. Mason and a small group of revolutionaries have banded together, taken up the Red Faction name and pledged to again bring about a free Mars. Guerilla Warfare
You don't stand a chance against the EDF using standard military tactics. The only recourse when the few stand against the many is the use of hit and run tactics. Learn the routes of the patrols and quickest ways in and out of EDF strongholds. By studying these things you can instinctively know when to attack, and when to wait for a better opportunity.

Ambushes are also useful in thinning EDF ranks. Remote charges and proximity mines are your best friend when preparing an ambush. A few well-placed charges on the structural supports of a bridge can do wonders for stopping a convoy dead in its tracks. Above all else, remember this: guerilla tactics are not about fighting fair, they are about winning.

A Complete Sims Experience with Exclusives

In The Sims 3 players create Sims with unique personalities, fulfill their desires, and control their lives within a living neighborhood set in a new beach town environment. Sim creation is essentially the same functionality as players on the PC platform, and using the Wii Remote they are also able to direct them to exactly where they want them to go in the gameworld. Players also enjoy a new building system that allows for the placement of prefabricated buildings that are easily customized and contain architecture previously unavailable. The game also allows for new residents, careers, weather and lifetime wishes, exclusive to the Wii version of the game.

Innovative Multiplayer

Unlike earlier versions of The Sims, The Sims 3 for Wii contains a significant multiplayer option known as "Life Moments." Supporting up to 4 players and specifically designed for play on Wii, "Life Moments" allows players to compete against each other as together they develop a Sim from childhood through the various times of his/her life. Within this mode each player is assigned a stages of the Sim's life, with the goal being to gain the most happiness and success for the Sim. The activities use the precision controls of the Wii MotionPlus accessory to help players come much closer to the physical reality of engaging in the actual sports. Every real-world action, whether it's a perfect drive on the fairway or a slice off the course, is meant to be faithfully replicated.
Each activity has multiple fun challenges designed to keep visitors coming back for more. Basketball players might compete in a three-point shootout or jump into a three-on-three pickup game. Archery enthusiasts must aim for the bull's-eye across ever-increasing distances and obstacles.
Different activities use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers in different ways. For example, players hold the Wii Remote like a paddle in Canoeing, while in Cycling they use both arms to "pedal" with the two controllers. The Wii MotionPlus accessory picks up every nuance of motion and translates it onto the TV screen.
Depending on the activity, players can compete solo or against other players. Some activities even let players team up to work cooperatively.

A Sports Party in Every Box
One of the most popular Wii party games of all time, Wii Sports offers five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii Remote to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. Players can use their own Mii caricatures in the game and play them against their friends' Miis for a more personalized experience. Key Game Features

Tennis (1-4 players): Players grab the Wii Remote like a racket and swing – the game registers forehands, backhands, volleys, lobs, slices, spin and power depending on how fast the user swings and at what angle. Don't worry about moving around the court to get to the ball – the game automatically moves players into position.
Baseball (1-2 players): Players grip the Wii Remote like a bat and swat fastballs out of the park, or fire a fastball over the plate with a flick of their wrist. Timing and bat speed will make all the difference between going yard and whiffing, so keep an eye on the ball and swing for the fences. In the two-player game, one player pitches and the other bats – all fielding and running is automatic, so that players can focus on the action.
Golf (1-4 players): Step up to the tee, hold the Wii Remote like a golf club and swing naturally to smack the ball onto the green. The harder players swing the club, the farther the ball will fly. Be careful, though – if players swing too hard, their ball will fly out of control, so they should be sure to take some practice swings before going for the pin. After reaching the green, line up putts carefully, practice the stroke and try to hole out.
Bowling (1-4 players): Players raise the Wii Remote in their hand just like a bowling ball, and then swing their arms to roll the ball. The speed of the swing and the angle at which they release the ball affects the ball's spin, so it will take some practice to master control over the ball and knock down the pins.
Boxing (1-2 players): Using the Nunchuk controller as one glove and the Wii Remote as the other, players dodge, weave and punch their opponents. Players hold their hands high to guard their faces or low to block their torsos. They punch high to hit their opponents' faces or low to get under their guard for a body blow. Swing both arms left or right to sidestep oncoming blows and move into position for a devastating knockout.

Gameplay: Getting Your Band Together
In Wii Music every band has six members: Two play the main melody, two cover the percussion beats, one covers the bass groove and one uses the song's chords to support the melody. As a band, the six members often play their special parts at the same time, though each player can jam however and whenever he or she wants. Play all at once. Take turns in the spotlight. Pair up in creative ways throughout the song. You can bring the band to life by yourself, playing one part at a time-or with up to four players. See game mode below:

Solo Play: When you play by yourself, you can add one part at a time to arrange the whole song exactly how you want. The Tutes are on hand to back up your band in any parts you need filled.
Multiplayer: When in a band with friends, up to four people can be band members.
Wii Friends: Using WiiConnect24, you can send your jam videos to Wii Friends who own Wii Music. They can then watch your performance, modify it to their liking and send their jam videos back to you.

Tutes: Your Own Private Back-up Band
When not playing with friends, you can invite jam masters known as Tutes to play with you. They'll join a session playing an instrument that each thinks is strong for a specific song. Free Running Overview

Free Running is a completely unique game based on the alternative sport of Free Running, or Parkour. Free Running is the art of urban acrobatics where 'Free Runners' perform movements and tricks utilizing structures within urban environments. Free Running itself does incorporate techniques and movements from Parkour, but the philosophy is vastly different. Free Running allows you to go absolutely anywhere within specially designed environments. You are presented with over 60 unique challenges, within 10 levels, spread over 3 environments; Urban Jungle, Docklands and Inner City. Throughout the game you need to maintain your Flow and Sprint meters and, at the same time, be precise in your timings when you leap, jump, balance and run! The Wii version, have been enhanced and unique twists added. The physicality of Free Running has been thoroughly captured with the Wiimote and Nunchuk controllers. Flicking, pointing and swinging the controllers at the precise place at the precise time will fully immerse you into the action, drama and suspense, and once you've nailed the timings, performing the tricks and moves becomes second nature. The game includes 9 different single and multiplayer modes in a completely 3D, free-roaming world allowing you to go anywhere and climb anything.
